Pizza Factory Drives Texas Expansion with Signed Agreement in Lavon

Iconic Pizzeria Announces Plans for Third Texas Location, Spearheaded by Local Entrepreneur

September 14, 2022 // Franchising.com // LAVON, Texas – Pizza Factory, the iconic pizzeria known for its hometown vibe and innovative approach to operations, announced its latest signed agreement to further establish its footprint in Texas. New franchisee and business entrepreneur Satwinder Singh is joining the brand’s growth efforts with the Lavon location.

Singh, who has been in the gas station business for over 20 years, recently joined the brand as a franchise owner. In addition to his gas station experience, he has owned and operated Which Wich and Hunt Brothers Pizza, and is eager to transfer his skills to his new Pizza Factory location, which will be located in a gas station shopping center along State Highway 78.

“Having worked in the gas station business for so many years, I know how important it is to have quality food options for customers at each station,” said Singh. “When looking for my next business venture, I was searching for an investment that would complement new center and Pizza Factory stood out because of the wide variety of menu options and innovative selections. The brand is so much more than pizza, and given its presence is growing in Texas, I’m looking forward to playing a part in its expansion by bringing a location to the people of Lavon.”

Singh joins a growing group of franchisees whose love for the brand encouraged them to invest in the concept. In fact, interest for the award-winning pizzeria has never been higher, with the brand welcoming a wave of new franchisees in California and beyond, including two other Texas groups—one of which opened in Fate and another who is developing a location in Gilmer. This is in part to the caliber of the iconic brand, most recently landing on Entrepreneur’s Top Food Franchises list in the best of pizza category.

“As we open locations with different and unique models, this gas station shopping center in Lavon is an exciting new venture for us,” said Mary Jane Riva, CEO of Pizza Factory. “Texas is a major growth market for Pizza Factory and it is rewarding to see interest in the state remain high, especially after the successful opening of our first location in Fate. With Satwinder’s extensive background running gas stations and restaurant operations, we are eager to continue expanding our Texas presence with such a strong operator.”

From multiple fast-casual prototypes to a new Express quick-service model, Pizza Factory maintains its reputation for family-friendly dining and high-quality products. The brand specializes in its vast menu offerings, serving fresh, never frozen hand-tossed pizza, pasta, wings, sandwiches, salads, beer, wine and more. As Pizza Factory continues to develop into new markets, the brand is providing multi-unit operators flexible new-build or conversion options with delivery / curbside and traditional dine-in prototypes ranging from 1,000 – 4,000 sq. ft. The largest option typically features multiple dining sections, an arcade area for the kids, banquet rooms for parties and social gatherings and big-screen TVs throughout the restaurant.

With aggressive development efforts underway, Pizza Factory is actively growing and seeking multi-unit operators to develop nationwide.
