Premium Service Brands Gives Kids a Lift

April 25, 2023 // Franchising.com // CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Premium Service Brands (PSB) is collaborating with its franchise partners to help at-risk children and their families in local communities through its Kids-Lift program.

Kids-Lift is a nonprofit devoted to making sure all children have equal opportunities. It partners with PSB’s franchise owners in communities across the U.S. and Canada to give back to vulnerable kids, their families, and their schools. Kids-Lift’s effective programming fits the needs of each community, while advocating for ways to address poverty and hunger.

“The dedication to supporting kids in the local communities we serve makes us stronger as individuals, as brands, and as a company. Whether in business or charity, it is part of our mission to beautify our communities through home improvement and through giving back,” said CEO Paul Flick. “I am passionate about helping kids receive everyday necessities such as food, clothing, and shoes. Everyone deserves to live a purpose-driven life.”

PSB corporate and 25 franchise partners recently renewed their commitment to helping children in need. Each locally-owned franchise commits to hosting two initiatives per year. Kids-Lift focuses on four main programs - food and clothing drives, fixing up kid-focused facilities such as schools and playgrounds, and fulfilling teacher wish lists for classroom supplies.

As part of a spring initiative, Kids-Lift donated enough food to serve 150 families in Charlottesville and Albemarle Countywhen school is out for spring break.

“It’s made a huge difference to them and in their lives, so I think it’s so important and I’m so happy to get this donation,” said Lauren Otto with the Albemarle County Department of Social Services.

In the U.S., at least 13.5 million homes do not have access to enough food for an active, healthy lifestyle, and one out of every seven children is at risk for hunger, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Children achieve academically when they have a supportive community. Kids-Lift focuses on lifting up communities, one child at a time.
