Scooter’s Coffee Opens 600th U.S. Location
Midwest-Based Drive-thru Coffee Franchise Taking the Nation by Storm
April 27, 2023 // Franchising.com // OMAHA, Neb. - Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the specialty coffee company known for its drive-thru kiosks, and fast, friendly service now has 600 locations nationwide. They reached this milestone with the opening of their newest store in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries, and features its signature drink, the Caramelicious®.
Don and Linda Eckles started the brand in 1998 in Bellevue, Nebraska, with a single drive-thru coffee shop, serving the highest quality coffee around. It came to be named Scooter’s Coffee because of the speedy service that allowed customers to scoot in and out – all while serving smiles.

The 600th Scooter’s Coffee, owned by franchisees Dale and Linda Patterson, is located at 105 Port Drive in the Allandale community. It’s the second Scooter’s Coffee location in Kingsport. The first opened last year at 4287 Fort Henry Drive in the Colonial Heights neighborhood. Both stores are open 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
