Veteran Merry Maids franchise renews commitment in Lorain, Ohio

May 12, 2023 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA, Georgia - Merry Maids announced today the renewal of a franchise agreement in Lorain, Ohio, for five more years. As part of the deal, residents of Lorain will continue to be able to access a cleaning service within the residential and commercial services industry.

Merry Maids of Lorain, Medina, and Cuyahoga, Ohio, renewed its commitment to Lorain in April. Franchisees Rebecca and Ryan Sullivan look forward to continuing to give people more time to enjoy life with a trusted cleaning company to take care of their housework.

“Merry Maids provides a valuable service to our customers. As a mother of two young children with a thriving business, I understand the importance of living now and cleaning less,” said Rebecca Sullivan. “Our customers are part of my community. We take pride in giving them time to spend with their families.”

Merry Maids is part of ServiceMaster Brands. The couple is the second generation to run the Merry Maids business in northern Ohio. Ryan Sullivan’s mother debuted Merry Maids in Medina, Ohio, 30 years ago. The husband-and-wife team became owners of the location in 2016 and expanded to include Cuyahoga County and Lorain over the next two years. Rebecca manages a team of 19 employees and spearheads financing, marketing, and human resources.

Based in Atlanta, Merry Maids has been delivering incredible cleaning services since 1979.

“The Merry Maids team provided us with the guidance and support we needed to weather the uncertainty over the past few years, and I’m pleased our locations are bigger and better than ever,” Rebecca Sullivan said.

Merry Maids offers apartment and house cleaning, detailed cleaning, holiday and green cleaning, housekeeping, enhanced disinfection services, specialty cleaning, and move-in/move-out cleaning.

"We are so pleased Rebecca and Ryan Sullivan are continuing their mother’s legacy in the Merry Maids network," said Tim Arpin, Vice President of Franchise Development for Merry Maids. “We look forward to continuing to support them as they serve the northern Ohio community.”
