Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom Teams up With Great Divide Brewing Company for Tapping Parties

Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom and Colorado brewery hosting event to support animal medical fund

May 23, 2023 // Franchising.com // DENVER - There’s nothing quite like the pairing of pizza and beer. Add in the support of avalanche rescue dogs and it becomes the perfect match. Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom is making all those dreams a reality as it teams up with Great Divide Brewing Company to host a series of Tapping Parties with puppies on the patio on Wednesday, May 24.

Old Chicago locations in Colorado are throwing a Tapping Party from 6 – 8 p.m. to highlight Great Divide’s refreshingly crisp Tangerine IPA. This new offering is in Old Chicago in a limited supply. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to fill their cups.

Even better, a portion of sales for every Tangerine IPA sold during the Tapping Party will help the Colorado Rapid Avalanche Deployment (C-RAD) Wonderpup K9 Medical Fund by providing medical care for avalanche rescue dogs. Guests are invited to bring their leashed dogs to the pup-friendly tapping party at all Old Chicago locations in Colorado that have a patio*.

“We’re thrilled to partner with a local brewery like Great Divide,” said SPB Hospitality Chief Marketing Officer Casey Terrell. “We hope this tapping party with pups on the patio reminds guests that patios at Old Chicago are dog friendly. Name a better way to support our favorite pets than with a beer in hand!”

In addition to letting the taps flow, be sure to Craft Your Own Pizza at Old Chicago on a selection of scratch made crusts, including Tavern Thin, Hand-Tossed Ale, OC Thick Pan or Cauliflower, along with loads of fresh toppings.

*Old Chicago’s Greeley location does not have a patio but will still support the cause with a party for the humans.
