The location, owned and operated by passionate senior care advocate June DesChamps, opened on May 22 and will serve Douglas, Cobb, and Fulton counties. Senior Helpers of Northwest Atlanta offers an array of services to help people age comfortably and safely in their homes, from assistance with daily activities to specialized care for chronic diseases.

DesChamps understands what it's like to worry about the care of a loved one from afar. She moved her mother from Charlottesville, Virginia, to the Atlanta metro in 2020, so she and her family could help care for her. However, she recognizes that not all seniors are as fortunate as her mother to have a large family surrounding them and pouring their love into caring for them. DesChamps knows caregiving is a tough job, which is why she emphasizes a high level of training, support, and appreciation for her caretakers.

"The caregiver is crucial to the in-home care experience, and they're experiencing burnout at an unprecedented rate. I plan to provide my caregivers with the best-of-the-best training and support so they can give 110% to their caretaking," explained DesChamps.
