Franchise History

It all started in 1959 when the first Centre du Rasoir store location opened for business in Montreal, Quebec. The operation limited itself to a simple and yet original premise: the sale and repair of brand name shavers from Philips, Remington, Schick, Ronson and Sunbeam. Establishing the business and allowing it time to flourish and to build was the top priority. Expansion was a secondary consideration back then until an efficient and flexible structure was put into place. This was done later allowing for the careful, planned growth of the company. As its strength and reputation grew throughout Quebec, Centre du Rasoir expanded in order to meet the growing demands of its customer base. In 1980, the company opened its first franchised store in the Fleur de Lys Shopping Centre in Quebec City, and then in 1983, it began its expansion into Ontario by opening a store in Ottawa.
