Franchise HistoryIn 1962, a group of golf enthusiasts in Detroit, Michigan opened the first Pro Golf Discount Store — a store dedicated to offering the best golf equipment and accessories at a low price. Business was slow at first, but as golf's popularity rose with newcomers Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, Pro Golf's sales began to rise.
