Chand Sharma, Noted for his Commitment to the Company, Takes Over Existing Savannah Location

Savannah, GA (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 - Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. (Checkers), the largest double drive-thru chain in the United States, is excited to announce transfer of ownership of the restaurant at 301 Mall Blvd., Savannah, GA, 31406 to Chand Sharma.

Sharma has seen great success in a short time with Checkers, starting in 2011 when he began working at the Savannah location while achieving a degree in organizational psychology at Armstrong Atlantic State University. Sharma assumed his supervisor role during the hard economic times that affected other businesses in the area. He credits his proficiency in leading QSR concepts to his parents, Ramesh and Anita Sharma, who previously owned four successful Georgia-based Dairy Queen locations for more than ten years. As an owner, Sharma said that he plans to channel his ambition and energy to grow the Checkers brand in new areas, and has high hopes of opening additional locations in Georgia and Florida next year.

“When I started with Checkers, I knew this was a brand I could build a strong relationship with because they inspire longevity, while providing support for all franchisees and employees,” the 26-year old said. “I am proof the Checkers model is successful and rewards loyalty, as I’ve had the same employees since starting with the brand two years ago. With my hands-on approach and my dedication, I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”

Checkers continues to add craveable menu selections and introduce daring flavors to its fans. Options such as Loaded Potato Skins, Cold Creations and the original Big Buford® aim to bring the freshest ingredients and boldest flavors to Checkers’ hungry guests.
