TGA Premier Junior Golf Launches First Youth Sports Franchise in Idaho

Former Red Cross Employee Finds New Career Impacting Youth Through a School-Based Golf Business in Boise

October 10, 2014 // Franchising.com // Boise, ID – TGA Premier Junior Golf (TGA), a leading youth sports franchise-company that specializes in school-based golf programs, has established its first franchise in Idaho.

Todd Loveland, a former Red Cross employee, computer specialist and competitive amateur golfer has acquired the geographic rights to TGA Premier Junior Golf in Ada County.

Loveland has been around golf since his youth and developed a passion for the sport while in high school working in the bag room at the local Hillcrest Country Club. He enhanced that passion while playing on the golf team for Iowa's Saint Ambrose College.

During his career in the computer industry and while working for the Red Cross as a compliance officer, Loveland dreamed of pursuing his entrepreneurial passion by starting his own business and getting out from behind a desk. TGA gives him the opportunity to build a small business, impact youth, and develop new golfers that will increase participation and rounds played.

"Through TGA's proven business model and program, I am grateful to take my passion for golf and coaching to the next level," Loveland said. "Combine that with running my own business and TGA has provided me with an impressive career opportunity through their value-driven approach to grow golf in my community."

TGA (Teach, Grow, Achieve) developed its program over 10 years ago to create new small business opportunities and jobs in the golf industry while bringing new players into the sport to replace aging baby boomers.

TGA, through its school-based franchise business, targets all demographics while concentrating on youth ages 3-13 and their parents ages 25-45 (new millennials). Today, TGA has brought over 265,000 juniors into golf while making the sport available to 1.3 million young families nationwide.

"We are thrilled to see our franchises continue to grow nationwide and expand into Idaho," Joshua Jacobs, TGA's founder and CEO said. "Todd's passion for youth sports and golf experiences will allow him to develop a successful small business in Ada County that will impact youth and the future of the game by activating thousands of new players."
