Sixt SE: Supervisory Board appoints Alexander and Konstantin Sixt as new Managing Board members

CEO Erich Sixt prolongs contract ahead of time until 2020

Supervisory Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Gunter Thielen:"The extension of the Managing board is a logical consequence of the strong expansion over the last few years."

Pullach - 2nd February 2015 – The Supervisory Board of the mobility service provider, Sixt SE, has decided to extend the Managing Board from three to five members. Alexander Sixt (35) and Konstantin Sixt (32) have been appointed as new members effective as of 2nd February 2015. Both of them already hold managing functions. The Supervisory Board simultaneously extended the contract with CEO Erich Sixt (70) ahead of time until 2020. As the third generation at the helm, Erich Sixt has been leading the company since 1969. The contracts with the Managing Board members Detlev Pätsch (Operations) and Dr. Julian zu Putlitz (Finances) are also being extended to secure a high level of leadership continuity.

As Board member for organization and strategy, Alexander Sixt will assume responsibility for the divisions Group Strategy, M&A, Procurement, Process Management as well as the new mobility services such as DriveNow (premium carsharing). In addition, he will be responsible for global operative human resources, as well as the management of all shared service and administrative functions.

As Board member for sales, Konstantin Sixt will sign responsible for Sixt’s Car Rental’s national and international sales as well as the global E-Commerce business of the group.

Prof. Dr. Gunter Thielen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board: "During the past few years Sixt has grown strongly and geared itself up for the mobility of the 21st century. The extension of the Managing Board is a logical consequence of this expansion. Over the past few years Alexander and Konstantin Sixt have provided numerous impulses to drive forward the strategic and operative development of the Group. Their readiness to work in future at the top management level once more underscores the Sixt family's firm commitment to the company. Erich Sixt will continue at the helm of the company and contribute his decades of experience. Detlev Pätsch and Dr. Julian zu Putlitz will likewise continue their commitment to the company. The Supervisory Board is convinced that a Managing Board with a blend of experienced and seasoned members and the young Internet generation will ensure the highly positive development of Sixt, especially in times when the industry is witnessing technological changes."

Konstantin Sixt: "In well over 100 countries the Sixt brand already stands for absolute customer orientation and premium services. Despite the strong growth in the last few years, there is still enormous market potential for our company in Europe, the USA and other regions of the world. I am convinced we will seize these opportunities with a competitive sales team and customized innovation services for our customers."

Alexander Sixt: "One of the key challenges within the Sixt Group lies in permanently adjusting our structures and processes to a continuously growing company and changing customer requirements. In the upcoming years Sixt will develop into an integrated mobility service provider covering all aspects of automotive mobility. Innovative power, flexibility, efficiency and transparency are my standards for the international expansion of our company."
