Retro Fitness Fit For Fame: Battle of the Bands Winner and Long Island Resident Performs to Van Halen Crowd

Retro Fitness - One of the Nation’s Leading Low-Cost, High-Value Fitness Franchises - Partners with Live Nation to announce Tony Sidito as the Long Island “Fit For Fame” Champion

September 04, 2015 // Franchising.com // COLTS NECK, N.J. – For the past month, Retro Fitness held a digital battle of the bands competition in Long Island with the hopes of finding the perfect local band to play on Thursday, August 13 at the Nikon Jones Beach Theater on the Retro Fitness Side Stage. The winner of the competition, Tony Sidito, was announced August 10 and played to a large crowd of local fans.

Sidito is a local Long Island guitarist and singer, who has been playing for over 30 years and has been on stage thousands of times as a solo artist and with many of the hottest bands in Long Island.

Sidito was chosen from a group of numerous other talented Long Island musicians. Each band entered the competition by submitting a video to the Fit For Fame Facebook App. After submitting, contestants shared the video on their own social media sites to electrify their fans to vote for them during a two-week voting period.

“We know there are a ton of great bands in Long Island, but we were floored when we saw the positive response surrounding the competition and the pure talent of the musicians who entered,” said the founder and CEO of Retro Fitness, Eric Casaburi. “Just like fitness, music takes passion and drive – we were glad to crown Tony Sidito as the winner because he radiates those traits.”
