Top Children's STEM Franchise, Professor Egghead Science Academy, Touches Down in Pasadena

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA (PRWEB) November 17, 2015 - Professor Egghead Science Academy, the newest children’s STEM franchise in the country, today announced the opening of a franchise in Pasadena. It’s the latest in a big push for more STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programs in elementary schools here in California and across the country.

When it comes to STEM education, the United States is seriously lagging behind the rest of the world. Internationally, we rank somewhere in the middle of the pack. That could spell trouble for children in ten to fifteen years as they find themselves being out-competed in the global market for high quality jobs in science and engineering.

The issue isn’t going unnoticed. At the recent White House Astronomy Night, President Obama told youngsters "America can do anything! We just gotta keep on encouraging every new generation to explore and invent and create and discover. We got to keep encouraging some young kid in Brooklyn or a budding rocket scientist in Alabama or that young girl who's dreaming to become an astronaut."Professor Egghead Science Academy is setting its sights on that goal through innovative classes that graduate students with degrees as Egghead Astronauts, Explorers, Inventors, and Secret Agents.

The slogan of Professor Egghead Science Academy is “Science Has Never Been This Cool”, and it seems that they may just have the credentials to back it up. In after-school classes, students learn real science topics and keywords by firing off rockets, making chemical reactions, building skyscrapers and bridges, and earning a degree each session. At birthday parties, dry ice, slime, and imploding cans make science pop and come to life.

All Professor Egghead Science Academy programs are completely mobile and geared toward children in grades Pre-K to 3. Their science shows and birthday parties run at any location, and for interested schools it’s easy to get Professor Egghead classes on your campus – just give them a call. “Since our programs are parent-funded, there’s actually zero cost to the school”, says franchise owner Nick Fraher. “This session, we hope to graduate 500 Egghead Astronauts from the Academy. This actually is rocket science we’re talking about."

A few more years of this and we might actually get those jetpacks.
