Farmer Boys Supports Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital for 16th Year

Popular farm-to-table burger concept donates over $100,000 to the region’s only dedicated children’s hospital.

February 13, 2017 // Franchising.com // Riverside, Calif. - Farmer Boys® Restaurants, the brand known for cooked-to-order breakfasts, burgers and more, today announced it presented a check to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in the amount of $111,373. Funds were collected during the 16th Annual Farmer Boys Fundraiser, Sept. 6 – Oct. 3, 2016.

For a donation of $1 or more, guests were recognized as Champions for Children with a Heart of Champion donation slip displayed at Farmer Boys restaurants during the fundraiser. Farmer Boys recognized the generosity of its guests with a variety of special fundraiser vouchers.

“Farmer Boys has been a true champion for our kids and the community,” said Sherry Nolfe, executive director of patient care, LLUCH. “These gifts have made a direct impact on giving us the tools and resources we need to save lives, and they are helping us build a future for our new hospital.”

Since 2000, Farmer Boys has donated over $655,000 to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Donations collected over the past 16 years have been used to purchase heart monitors for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, vein viewers for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and fund the hospital’s annual Children’s Day celebration. This year, funds will go toward Vision 2020, The Campaign for a Whole Tomorrow.
