Bruster's Ice Cream Awards Alaskan Cruise To Local Resident

VALDOSTA, GA (Tuesday, June 06, 2006) - With sweet delight, Bruster's Real Ice Cream surprised local school teacher Andrea May from Nashville, Georgia, with a dream cruise for two as the winner of Bruster's June Alaskan Cruise Contest. Further, Chadd and Gina Mathis, owners of the Valdosta, GA Bruster's store, were awarded $2,000 for handing out the winning ticket!

"I'm very surprised to have won," says Bruster's cruise winner, Andrea May. "My husband and I are new Bruster's customers. This was our first time. I had caramel ice cream and John had a cheesecake flavor. The ice cream is delicious!"

"We've already seen a great response to this contest," said Chadd Mathis, owner of Bruster's in Valdosta. "Customers get to enjoy some ice cream and get a chance to win a cruise - it doesn't get any better than that."

From June 1 - 30, 2006, any Bruster's customer who bought a freshly made waffle cone received the chance to win an Alaskan cruise. All stores in the Bruster's chain participated in this spring/summer contest, which includes over 250 locations from New Hampshire to Florida and as far west as Texas.

The promotion also had thousands of instant prizes, including Bruster's gift cards and Free Waffle Cone coupons. Even if someone didn't win an instant prize, they were still eligible to win a seven-day cruise to exotic locales, including Hawaii, Caribbean, Alaska and the Greek Isles. One grand prize winner was selected in April, May, June and July.

Based in Bridgewater, PA, Bruster's Real Ice Cream has more than 250 stores in communities from New Hampshire to Florida. Bruster's makes a variety of real ice cream, cakes, and pies fresh onsite at every store. Bruster's is currently ranked by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the nation's leading franchise companies.
