Local Salon Franchisee Wins Two Regis Corporation Honors -mentor/coaching And Torch Bearer Awards
October 26, 2006 // Franchising.com // At their September 2006 Franchisee Convention, Regis Corporation (NYSE:RGS), the industry leader in salons, hair restoration centers and education, honored Kitty and Jamil Alaily with the Mentor/Coaching award and Kitty with the Torch Bearer award.
The Mentor/Coaching award recognizes franchisees who donate their time to provide other franchise owners the training, assistance and counseling they need to help improve their business.
The Torch Bearer award is given to an individual who is committed to excellence and dedicated to education. It recognizes a franchisee who leads with an educational focus, sets high standards for team development and is a messenger of hope. Through training and education available in the Regis franchise system, Kitty has helped other franchisees grow and has fostered new leadership into the franchisee family. As anyone who has worked with her knows, Kitty is committed to excellence and education through the many varied programs and standards she has set in their organization. Though it was established seven years ago, the award has only been given out five times.
Kitty and Jamil started their first Cost Cutters salon in 1984 in Neenah, Wisconsin. Today, as community and business leaders, they enjoy the challenges of running a business and meeting the needs of over 300 employees. They currently franchise 35 Cost Cutters and five Supercuts hair salons in locations throughout Wisconsin.

The concept appeals to men, women and children, although male customers account for the majority of the clientele. From traditional to trendy, Cost Cutters stylists are trained to offer a full range of styles and services. The salon offers haircuts, styling, perms, texture wraps, coloring and highlighting services, waxing and a large selection of professional hair care product lines. Depending on hair length and technique, services and prices vary by location.
