Interstate All Battery Center Poised for Growth, Hires Operations Veteran
August 22, 2008 // Franchising.com // - (DALLAS) – Interstate Batteries Franchise and Development, the franchisor of Interstate All Battery Center (IABC), announces it has hired retail veteran Jim Eades as Director of Franchise Operations as the company continues its rapid growth phase.
Eades was tapped for his extensive experience in multi-unit operations, including stints at Office Depot, May Department Stores and most recently at Ross Stores, where he served as a regional vice president overseeing 260+ stores and opening 105 new stores. At IABC, he is responsible for the operations of franchised and company-owned IABC stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
"IABC is growing rapidly through franchise development and Jim's responsibilities will continue to increase as new stores continually open," said Interstate Batteries Franchise and Development President Mickey Elam. "We feel confident Jim's proven multi-unit store experience is a great match for our planned strategic growth of more than 300 stores by 2012."
Analysts project the burgeoning retail battery category will reach $50 billion by 2010. IABC, recognized by Franchise Business Review in its annual Top 50 list of leading franchisor brands, is poised to lead the way, with each month marking new store openings and 30 franchise signings since January 2008.
