Desert Sun Tanning Salon Owners Celebrate Past Years' Success at 4th Annual Conference
Owners of Upscale Tanning Salon Chain Meet to Discuss Business Strategy and Industry Innovations
October 24, 2008 // Franchising.com // Seattle, WA – More than 80 Desert Sun Tanning Salon franchise owners, vendor partners, and the company's corporate executives and staff recently joined together at the Edgewater Hotel in downtown Seattle to share business strategies and learn the latest trends in tanning products and equipment.
For three days in October, the corporate team conducted educational seminars and awarded 35 honors to franchisees for business excellence. In addition, more than $20,000 in prizes were raffled off, including an all expense paid trip to Tennessee and a vacation timeshare in Maui, Hawaii.
"There was a tremendous amount of group participation and intellectual discussion among the Desert Sun Tanning Salon franchisees," said Steve Berkman, vice president franchising of Desert Sun Tanning Salons. "Many conversations led to a great deal of insight for all those who attended. It was a wonderful few days for the entire Desert Sun Tanning Salon system."
With system wide franchisee attendance reaching 90 percent, representatives from vendor partners such as J.K. North America, the Four Seasons and Sunshine Holdings Australia Gold captured the attention of owners with the latest innovations in tanning products and equipment.
"It was a pleasure to have representatives from some of the biggest vendor names in the industry interact with Desert Sun Tanning Salon franchise owners," said Berkman. "We were all able to review the latest advancements in the tanning industry. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the best partners in the industry."
