Maid Brigade Announces National Franchisee Award Winners at Annual Convention

Award Winners Recognized for Commitment to Customer Service, Business Practices, and Stewardship

August 27, 2012 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - Maid Brigade, the residential cleaning franchise leader, honored its standout franchisees during the company’s annual convention held on July 21 in New York City. Award winners were chosen based on their commitment to quality customer service, excellence in business practice, and stewardship within their local communities.

“Maid Brigade is extremely proud of our entire franchise family,” says Bart Puett, president of Maid Brigade. “This year’s franchisee award winners are truly leaders in the cleaning service marketplace.”

Since opening its doors in March 2003, “Franchisee of the Year” Maid Brigade of Minneapolis/St. Paul has experienced steady growth every year with 15.8 percent growth year-to-date in 2012. This record of strong performance reflects owner Quentin Ritchie’s commitment to his base of loyal and appreciative customers and to the community he serves. Ritchie also participates in the Maid Brigade Ad Council and is part of the company’s Franchise Advocacy Council.

Denis Cooper, winner of the “Outstanding New Franchisee” award, opened Maid Brigade of Freeport and Baldwin, N.Y., in May 2010. Total sales for his first 52 weeks of operation were more than $114,000. Total sales for 2011 were $180,575 with a 2011 booking percentage of 62.2 percent and a conversion rate of 30.6 percent.

The Denlinger family, owners of Maid Brigade of West Chester and winners of the “Top Gun” award, were recognized for the best overall sales performance across all territory sizes and based on their high customer satisfaction rating and low employee turnover rates. They have repeatedly been recognized for excellence by the Maid Brigade franchise family including previous Top Gun award wins in 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009 and as Maid Brigade Franchisee of the Year in 1997.

Jim and Susan Fordice have always made community service a part of their operating mission at Maid Brigade of Northwest Houston. In addition to winning the “We Are Maid Brigade” award, Maid Brigade of Northwest Houston was also recently named the Business of the Quarter by the Houston area Habitat for Humanity for its longtime service of providing move-in cleanings for Habitat’s newly constructed homes. The Fordices and their cleaning teams also participate in and provide complimentary cleanings for national non-profit organizations such as Cleaning for a Reason, Homes for Heroes, and Helping A Hero – which serve women undergoing treatment for cancer and area veterans returning from conflict.
