CertaPro Painters to Sponsor Homes For Our Troops

Painting Franchise Announces Two-Year Sponsorship Agreement with Veterans’ Charity

May 13, 2013 // Franchising.com // Oaks, Pa. - National painting franchise CertaPro Painters recently announced a two-year national sponsorship deal to partner with charity organization Homes For Our Troops, which benefits disabled war veterans. CertaPro’s independent franchise locations around the country will host community events to benefit the charity, and will also work with general contractors to paint the interiors of the new homes built through the program.

“We are honored to be able to support the brave men and women who have risked their lives fighting for our freedom overseas,” said Rich Wilson, president and CEO of CertaPro Painters. “Homes For Our Troops is doing a great service for our wounded veterans and we are proud to help this wonderful organization grow.”

CertaPro has already raised over $8,100 for Homes For Our Troops this year and hopes to donate a total of over $200,000 over the course of the two-year sponsorship deal.

To continue raising money and bringing awareness to disabled veterans across the country, CertaPro Painters will host a series of 5K races over the next several months. Upcoming races will take place June 15 in Sewell, N.J., Oct. 12 in Doylestown, Pa., Nov. 9 in Shawnee Mission, Kan., and Nov. 10 in San Diego, Calif. The first race, held in Media, Pa. last year, raised $7,000 for a local veterans’ homebuilding project. A golf tournament is also planned for Oct. 26 in Fayetteville. Ark.

Homes For Our Troops is a non-profit organization that builds specially adapted homes for service members who have been severely injured in combat operations since September 11, 2001. Homes are built at no cost to the veterans, through the donations of companies and individuals.
