Guidant Financial Innovators Celebrate a Decade of Success

Firm's co-founders were pioneers in alternative small business financing.

Bellevue, Wash. (PRWEB) September 10, 2013 - From day one, co-founders David Nilssen and Jeremy Ames felt like they were starting a revolution. With $10,000 and a laptop in the summer of 2003, they launched Guidant Financial to help individuals take an active role in their financial future.

Inspired by the success their self-directed IRA clients had seen, they soon expanded their services to include Rollovers as Business Start-ups (ROBS), which allow entrepreneurs to utilize their retirement funds for start-up capital.

The rest, they say, is history.

In the 10 years they’ve been in business, Guidant has helped over 8,000 entrepreneurs transform their dream of small business ownership into reality, and their businesses, have in turn, created over 60,000 U.S. jobs. Some of Guidant’s most noteworthy clients include the vodka victors at Dry Fly Distilling and former Ark. State Representative Linda Tyler, who opened a Red Mango franchise in her neighborhood.

Guidant has also earned high honors such as the co-founders being named the National SBA National Young Entrepreneurs of the Year and repeatedly making the INC 500/5000 lists.

“Our journey as entrepreneurs has been challenging, rewarding and life changing. We’re excited to be a part of helping thousands of entrepreneurs start their own journeys each year,” says Ames.

In addition to Rollovers for Business Startups, the company expanded its services to help aspiring entrepreneurs source bank, SBA and unsecured business financing. In 2011, the International Franchise Association named Guidant its preferred provider for credit access solutions.

The co-founders say that Guidant remains committed to helping re-build the U.S. economy one small business at a time. Nilssen says the company will continue to “serve as a champion for small business and introduce new services that are consistent with Guidant’s mission—To increase the number of people who succeed in small business.”
