Sioux Falls Interstate All Battery Center Named Store of the Year

Battery Retail Location Also Honored with Innovator Award

February 10, 2014 // Franchising.com // SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Interstate All Battery Center of Sioux Falls has earned the company's highest corporate retail award. Interstate Batteries has honored the Sioux Falls store with the Interstate All Battery Center Store of the Year award and store manager Casey Crabtree with the Innovator Award.

"Congratulations to our franchisees, Jackie and Tyler Henriksen, for setting the bar high in demonstrating successful practices in growing their business," said Michael Tapp, Vice President Interstate All Battery Center. "And, Casey Crabtree is very deserving of his honor as he continues to exemplify great creativity in consistently seeking and finding new and better ways to take advantage of opportunities and sharing those ideas with others."

The Henriksens are no strangers to Interstate Batteries. Six years ago, the couple took over the battery location in Arlington, S.D., that had been in the family for 30 years. In 2010, the time was right to expand to Sioux Falls and open an Interstate All Battery Center.

"The award for our Sioux Falls store is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team," said Jackie Henriksen. "This has been and continues to be a great partnership with Interstate Batteries to provide portable power solutions to our area customers. In both our commercial and retail business, we focus on treating our customers the way we would want to be treated. That has proven to be a successful foundation for us."

The Sioux Falls Interstate All Battery Center earned Store of the Year honors based on sales performance, marketing campaigns, store upkeep, finance reporting, compliance with laws and good business practices, community involvement, and valuable contributions that raise the profile of Interstate All Battery franchising.

Leading the way in reaching the superlative accomplishments was Crabtree. Jackie points to Casey's creativity and determination as important assets to his team.

"Casey is a great leader and is driven to be the best store manager," Henriksen said. "This past year, he met his sales marks, while at the same time, leading his team by example. He spends a considerable amount of time training his staff, and that kind of commitment is exemplified in the success we have seen at the store."

The Innovator Award is part of the overall Interstate All Battery Center Servant Leader Awards designed to recognize those that have demonstrated the Biblical principles inherent in the All Battery culture. The Servant Leader Awards celebrate the principle of "loving our neighbors as ourselves" and are more difficult to quantify and often go unnoticed but are equally important in the success of Interstate All Battery Center.
