Brussels and Moscow - March 3, 2014 - Carlson Rezidor, one of the most dynamic and largest hotel groups worldwide, announces its fifth beach resort at the Black Sea, the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Gelendzhik – one of Russia's most popular resort destinations. The existing resort with 174 rooms will re-open under the Radisson Blu flag second quarter, 2014. An addition of 100 rooms is planned over the next three years.
Russia is a key market for Carlson Rezidor. The group is the leading international hotel operator in Russia/CIS & Baltic's, with 74 hotels and 18,640 rooms in operation and under development across the region. The Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Gelendzhik will be the latest addition to Rezidor's successful resort portfolio in the area now consisting of nine properties in operation and under development.

Besides 174 guest rooms with Radisson Blu signature services such as complimentary high-speed Internet access, the resort will feature seven restaurants, a bar, a nightclub, extensive leisure facilities, three swimming pools, and conference and meeting facilities for up to 300 delegates. The hotel will undergo renovations during the next months. Over the next three years, 100 guest rooms, an all-day dining facility, and a ballroom will be added.
Gelendzhik is located close to the main Black Sea port and is known as Russia's southern economic center. The Radisson Blu Resort & Spa is ideally situated on the shores of the bay and in the very heart of this lively and bustling seaside destination.
