AlignLife is proud to introduce our newest location in Michigan which is located in Muskegon at 935 W Norton Dr Suite D. Dr. Mike Rykse will be the clinic director and practicing chiropractor at the Muskegon location and is excited about serving the local community.
Dr. Rykse's story and chiropractic journey starts with his father, Mr. Rykse was a WWII veteran and came from what some would call an "older mind set". Dr. Rykse stated that growing up his family did things that his friends families did not do, for example Dr. Rykse's father always insisted they took a lunch to school even when it was pizza or chicken nugget day. The Rykse's ate home cooked meals at home and were not allowed to get fast food, however as time went on the family was able to convince Dad that Wendy’s was ok. Mr. Rykse didn’t take the family to the doctor unless absolutely necessary, or mom said they had to go; dad had other ways of making sure the family was healthy and of course some old fashion remedies.
Dr. Rykse says the type of man his father was and the things they did as a family set the foundation for being different. Dr. Rykse doesn't have a "miracle" story with chiropractic that relieved pain, or helped with an illness. The chiropractic message was first shared with while interviewing chiropractors as an undergrad when deciding what to do next. There was a chiropractor that Dr. Rykse connected with and shared the chiropractic philosophy; Dr. Rykse fell in love with the message and knew he needed to share this new health paradigm with others.
