New Erik's DeliCafe Serves Fresh Company Concepts in Silicon Valley

New DeliCafé in Santa Clara Launches New Menu Items and Innovative Service Upgrades

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - May 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ - Erik's DeliCafé opens its 33rd restaurant this month, with a new look, new additions to the menu and new amenities that reflect its high-tech address at the Irvine Company's Santa Clara Gateway office campus in the heart of Silicon Valley. For the first time in Erik's franchise history, Panini sandwiches like The Caprese (sliced ham, fresh Mozzarella cheese, and locally sourced basil and tomatoes on Pierini bread) will be served as the initial phase of a company-wide roll out, in addition to steadfast Erik's favorites like sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups made-from-scratch and gluten-free options, all of which have raised the bar in healthy, quick-service dining.

The Santa Clara DeliCafé will be the first and only Erik's location to serve breakfast and provide a full coffee bar. Hot breakfast sandwiches like The Sierra (egg omelet, bacon, Gruyere cheese, arugula and aioli on toasted sourdough) will be served until 10:30am daily, while other grab and go items such as locally sourced pastries, bagels, parfaits and environmentally-friendly coffee from Equator Coffee & Teas of Marin County, will be available all day. In addition to new breakfast and coffee items, the Erik's DeliCafé of Santa Clara is adding techy updates to its service process.

New 60" digital menu boards, online ordering, and a pager system for food pickup will be used to keep service efficient in the 4,200 sq. ft. indoor/outdoor space. The $1.5 million location exudes a modern yet rustic ambiance, with Edison bulb chandeliers, a communal high-top table, outdoor patio seating, and USB equip dining areas complete with armchairs and banquettes - perfect for a pre or post meeting nosh.

Located on the ground floor of Santa Clara Gateway's 5451 Great America Parkway building, Erik's DeliCafé of Santa Clara is open to the public Monday through Friday, 6am – 8pm; Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am – 6pm with plenty of free parking, USB ports and free Wi-Fi for guests.
