Outback Steakhouse® Welcomes 'Mates' in Flowood to Celebrate Grand Opening of Newly Designed Restaurant

New Location Donating 50% of Opening Day Sales to Batson Children's Hospital

FLOWOOD, Miss. - Sept. 3, 2014 // PRNewswire // - Outback Steakhouse® is debuting its newest restaurant location in Flowood, Mississippi, opening its doors at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 8. To show its support of the local community, 50% of the restaurant's opening day sales (up to $5,000.00) will be donated to Batson Children's Hospital, benefitting the Pediatric Neuromuscular Center and Camp Rainbow. The new restaurant will serve lunch daily and will be the first in the state of Mississippi to feature a new "Modern Australia" design both inside and out.

"The Mayor and City of Flowood employees have been absolutely great to work with in bringing the construction phase of this project to closure. To mark the official grand opening, the Flowood Outback restaurant is inviting local area residents to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Flowood at 10:45 a.m. on September 8. The Flowood Outback will feature a "Modern Australia" design with decor that mirrors the indigenous flora and fauna, adventure, geography and leisure of modern day Australia. Guests will also enjoy a spacious, energetic bar area that includes a community table – a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy specialty beer, wine and hand-crafted cocktails. The new bar will also feature customized seating and furnishings and is connected directly to the outdoor dining patio.

The restaurant will be open daily for lunch at 11 a.m. and customers will be able to enjoy a wide variety of fast and affordable lunch options including lunch combos such as the Classic Outback Burger or Chicken Artichoke Flatbread, or the new Aussie Fish, Steak or Chicken tacos starting at just $6.99. Plus, for a limited time, guests can enjoy America's boldest steak and all-you-can-eat shrimp for just $15.99.

The Flowood Outback Steakhouse® is located at 586 Park Way which is at Lakeland & East Metro Parkway in the Market Street Center. Call-ahead seating is available by calling the restaurant at 601-992-4045. For on-the-go guests, Curbside Takeaway is available by calling the restaurant or placing your order online.
