Menchie's Offers Free Frozen Yogurt at all Louisiana Locations

Frozen Yogurt Brand Commemorates One Million Cups Sold By Giving Away Free Frozen Yogurt

September 10, 2014 // Franchising.com // ENCINO, Calif. - Menchie's, North America's largest self-serve frozen yogurt franchise, is celebrating Louisiana's one millionth frozen yogurt sale. The millionth cup guest, local resident Candace Tennison, was surprised at the Denham Springs location and awarded a year of free frozen yogurt, a $400 value. To spread the smiles to all fans in Louisiana, Menchie's will be offering a free eight ounce cup of yogurt to guests at all Louisiana locations on Sunday, September 21 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

One of Menchie's youngest franchisees, Travis Hood, owns and operates all six locations in Louisiana. In honor of the millionth cup of yogurt sold in Louisiana, Travis will offer one free eight ounce cup of yogurt to each guest at all Louisiana locations. This major milestone is an example of Menchie's strong brand presence in Louisiana and Travis' dedication to the Menchie's experience in his local community. With a seventh store opening in Louisiana soon, it is clear Travis' locations have been a popular spot for Louisiana residents.

“I wanted to recognize not only the Menchie's support team, but also our guests as we celebrate this amazing achievement. Without the encouragement and love from our local communities, Menchie's would not be as successful as we are today,” said franchisee Travis Hood. “I hope guests around Louisiana will enjoy the free frozen yogurt as a 'thank you' for supporting our stores.”

Menchie's frozen yogurt provides best-in-class and better-for-you flavors that have less fat and calories than ice cream. In addition to its quality yogurt, Menchie's is also known for exceptional customer service and an entertaining environment where guests can come and enjoy yogurt with family and friends. Menchie's mission to make every guest smile is evident in the lively atmosphere that has made the brand a favorite in Louisiana.

“Travis truly encompasses the Menchie's mission in his work, and it's clear from his locations' accomplishments that he is committed to providing his guests with an extraordinary customer experience,” said Menchie's CEO Amit Kleinberger. “Travis focuses on the happiness of his guests rather than just the yogurt, and that is a mark of success in our industry.”
