Time for Tutoring at Huntington Learning Center at Harpers Station for High School Entrance Exams

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) October 04, 2014 - Many private and parochial schools require students to successfully pass an entrance exam in order to gain admission. Some schools will even award scholarships to students based upon these tests. Known for its reputation and performance, Huntington Learning Center at Harpers Station can help students do their best on these exams. Students looking to take these entrance exams should schedule a time with Huntington Learning Center now, as students are evaluated by giving them a released test first. This will provide information as to what skills and strategies may be needed. Although each program's duration is tailored to student's needs and goals, the optimal time to begin preparation is mid-September. "We have a high success rate of students getting into the school of their choice and our reputation is such that at least 40% of our students are from returning families and referrals," said Owner and Executive Director, Robert J. Cestelli M.Ed.

The most widely recognized entrance exams are the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) and the High School Placement Test (HSPT®). The HSPT is given the weekend before Thanksgiving and the ISEE tests at over 400 locations worldwide with locations and dates found on their website at http://www.erblearn.org/parents/admission/isee.

According to the HSPT website, for over fifty years, academic high schools nationwide have used STS' High School Placement Test (HSPT®) to assist with admissions, scholarship selection, and curriculum placement. The HSPT is a test for eighth graders for placement in the ninth grade and the ISEE can be used for grades 4-12 and is considered the most advanced admission testing available for independent schools.

In addition to the high school entrance exam prep, Huntington Learning Center assists students from kindergarten through 12th grade in reading, writing, spelling, phonics, mathematics and study skills as well as subject tutoring and SAT and ACT preparation. Huntington Learning Center's students typically see a 3-6 point improvement with ACT scores and a 100+ improvement with the SAT.

Huntington Learning Centers have been educating students for thirty-seven years. There are thirty-four company centers, as well as two hundred thirty franchise centers. Huntington Learning Center at Harpers Station is located at 11309 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249.
