Zippy Shell USA Named to Franchise Times Top 500 Franchise Systems List

October 27, 2014 // Franchising.com // Washington, D.C. – Zippy Shell USA, LLC. is excited to announce the company’s inclusion on the 2014 Franchise Times Top 500 Franchises Systems list. The list, also referred to as the "500 Big Brands" list, is published annually incorporating the largest franchise systems across the world. Coming in at #485, Zippy Shell® joins the ranks of some of the largest companies in the world after just four years of operation.

The Franchise Times Top 500 is an annual ranking of the top 500 franchise systems in the U.S. by Global system wide sales, based on the previous year’s performance. Franchise Times compiles the companies by reviewing their voluntary reports and publicly available data, including the most recent franchise disclosure document and Securities and Exchange Commission filings. In order to be considered, a company must be a legal United States based franchise that owns at least 15 percent of the company’s total units.

The companies are ranked based on system wide sales, which are defined as the total sales for both franchise and company units. The sales figures only represent sales to customers and omit corporate sales to franchisees, royalty revenue, and franchise fees. Companies that have the same system wide sales are ranked based on total number of units.
