Seasoned Restaurateurs Bring MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes to Ascension Parish

Fast-Casual Chain Continues Momentum of Growth in Louisiana; Two Restaurants Planned for Ascension Parish

DALLAS (PRWEB) December 18, 2014 - Foodies in Ascension Parish will have a new go-to burger joint to visit, as MOOYAH Burgers, Fries and Shakes, a fast-casual, "better burger" chain, will make its debut in the community in early 2015. The brand celebrated its debut in the state this year, and based on its positive reception, local entrepreneurs Chad Calongne and Ryan Brach are looking forward to bringing the concept to more communities. The duo plan to open at least two MOOYAH restaurants over the next two years.

"Ryan and I were looking for new and unique concepts to grow, and MOOYAH really stood out as a brand that Louisianans would embrace," Calongne said. "We really liked the brand and the quality of the food that MOOYAH offered. We are confident that MOOYAH will be a welcome addition to Ascension Parish, and that community members will enjoy MOOYAH as much as we do."

Calongne and Brach have already established a presence in the community as generous business owners; the duo own five Rotolo's Pizza restaurants across Ascension and Livingston Parishes, and are heavily involved in both communities. Since opening their restaurants five years ago, the business partners have donated around $50,000 to local organizations. They plan to use their MOOYAH restaurants as a similar platform for giving.

Prior to entering the world of hospitality, Calongne worked in commercial real estate before deciding to become a business owner. Calongne met Brach while Brach worked in the corporate office of Planet Beach Franchising, and the two decided to combine their strengths to open a restaurant together.

"Chad and Ryan are the perfect candidates to ensure that MOOYAH continues to impress Guests with our food and service as our brand continues to grow," said Michael Mabry, Chief Operating Officer for MOOYAH. "Louisiana is known for its great food, and with the incredible success that we've already seen with our existing restaurants in the Bayou, we're confident that MOOYAH will continue to tantalize the discerning taste buds of our Guests in the state of Louisiana. MOOYAH's commitment to freshness, an excellent experience, superb Guest service and better-for-you options make it a wonderful fit for Ascension Parish."

At MOOYAH, Guests start their made-to-order burger experience by choosing from freshly-baked white or whole wheat buns, or a low-carb, bun replacement of iceberg lettuce leaves. Next, Guests have the option of never-frozen 100 percent American beef, Jennie-O® turkey or the mouthwatering black bean veggie patty, all decorated with unlimited veggies, a choice of 11 delectable sauces, five different cheeses, and other savory toppings such as Applewood bacon and fresh avocado.

In addition, the sides and dessert are not to be forgotten. MOOYAH French fries are not an afterthought, but a crucial component of the whole MOOYAH experience. The daily-cut spuds are always cooked fresh, and transformed into the perfect French fries through a proprietary six-step, 24-hour process. Guests also have the option of the ever-popular Sweet Potato Fries. To offset the savory side of the menu, MOOYAH offers handcrafted shakes made with 100 percent real ice cream. Like their burgers, MOOYAH shakes can be customized with fun ice cream flavors and sweet toppings such as M&M's®, cookie dough and Reese's® PB cups.

MOOYAH has plans to continue its sustained expansion and predicts the brand will add more than 1,000 jobs to local communities through its restaurant openings in 2014. The burger franchise shows no signs of slowing down and aims to deliver a simple American classic that's not only made well, but produced in a friendly and comfortable environment to new and fresh markets in the future. In 2015, MOOYAH aims to continue expanding their presence across the country, with a focus on Atlanta, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Tampa-St. Petersburg, and Cincinnati.
