Dixon Hired To Direct Real Estate Efforts

May 24, 2016 // Franchising.com // TAMPA, FLORIDA - Brian Dixon has been brought on to oversee all new sites, acquisitions, and related real estate for all of Team Oney operations for Papa John’s, Qdoba and Topper’s Creamery.  The announcement was made by Topper’s Creamery Chairman and Co-Founder Wade Oney, who also owns more than 50 Papa John’s locations as well as eight Qdoba stores.  Oney is a former Chief Operating Officer for Papa John’s Pizza. 

“Brian is an important addition to Team Oney.  We are fortunate to secure his expertise,” Oney said.  “His input will be vital as we continue our various operations, specifically with the rapid growth and ascent we foresee for Topper’s Creamery.”

With over 20 years of experience in restaurant franchise operations, including serving as a director of real estate and general/operations manager, Dixon is serving Topper’s overall, plus Team Oney’s Papa John’s operations in Orlando, Pinellas County, Tampa, and part of Broward County, as well as Qdoba in greater Orlando and Tampa.

“This aligns with the continued expansion of Topper’s Creamery,” said Topper’s President/CEO Greg Sausaman.  “There are numerous opportunities we are pursuing where Brian’s expertise, input, and experience will be significant.  Plus, his relationships are certain to open doors we haven’t arrived at yet.  He is a very welcome addition.”

A licensed Florida real estate professional, Dixon has been with Orlando-based Westhaven Real Estate, LLC, as Broker Associate/Sr. Vice President since 2008.  His background also includes a stint as Director of Real Estate for Quiznos, LLC.

With its own proprietary recipe for its brand of soft serve ice cream, Topper’s Creamery currently has free-standing locations as well as non-traditional locations in hotels and colleges spanning central Florida from coast to coast.  The full list of locations is available on the company’s website (noted below).
