Former Teacher Turned Entrepreneur Re-Opens Window Genie of Canton

Terry Sense will re-open the local home service franchise serving the greater north Canton area.

June 08, 2016 // Franchising.com // Canton, OH – Window Genie of Canton has returned after being closed for 5 years. The home service franchise specializing in residential and light commercial window cleaning, window tinting, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and more will re-open in north Canton on June 13th. Terry Sense is the new owner.

Before he was a business owner, Sense taught high school math for 15 years. He also served as a basketball and tennis coach for many years. Sense’s desire for more autonomy and success drew him to business ownership. He said, “This was going to be the best opportunity for me to be successful and happy. Being my own boss excites me because it’s a challenge, but at the end of the day I reap the benefits of my hard work.”

Sense connected with FranNet, a consulting agency that helped him determine which business opportunity best fit his strengths, weaknesses, goals and interests. Sense soon found that the service industry was right for him. “I felt that having low overhead and the ability to network in the community to build a client base would ultimately allow me the most success,” Sense said. “My years as a teacher and coach have given me the ability to lead a team, and I’m confident in my ability to motivate employees to provide great service, have pride in their work and represent this brand that thrives off good word of mouth and referrals in the community.”

Sense says he ultimately chose Window Genie because of the brand’s proven system. He said, “I was confident in joining Window Genie because it’s a brand that’s been around since the early 90s, and the previous local owner in Canton ran his franchise very successfully for almost 12 years. I spoke to both he and the Window Genie franchise partner in Columbus who both said if they could go back and do it again, they would. I actually spent a day with the owner in Columbus to put myself in his shoes, and got to see what a day in the life of a Window Genie owner looked like. That helped tremendously, and I am confident I made the right choice. With the amount of support offered by the corporate team, I feel I’ll always be set up for success with my best interests at heart in everything they do for the system.”

Window Genie’s technicians are fully trained and insured. Estimates are free. For more information about Window Genie of Canton, contact Terry Sense at tsense@windowgenie.com or by calling 330-488-7216.
