DreamMaker Remodeling Franchise Awards Inspiring Franchisees, Team Members

Franchisee of the Year Goes to Pennsylvania Remodeler; Woman of the Year Goes to a Dedicated Employee

AUSTIN, TX - (Marketwired - August 17, 2016) - DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen named Dale and Bobbi Ressler its Franchisees of the Year and named Andrea Buck Woman of the Year during an awards ceremony at the company's annual Reunion.

The awards ceremony was part of a three-day gathering that brought together DreamMaker remodeling franchise owners nationwide for networking, education sessions and fun. The event was June 21-23 at the Hotel Van Zandt in downtown Austin, Texas.

Ressler has been a friend and mentor to franchisees throughout the system. He says DreamMaker's systems have helped him build a strong business - but it's not just the systems that make DreamMaker special.

"We're from Pennsylvania. There are people here from all over the country, and I would say that next to our immediate family -- our kids and their spouses -- this is our close family," he said. "We may see folks only once a year, some of them more often depending on schedules or training, but if we are in the area of any of these folks for any reason, we all have a standing invitation to have dinner, and we want to. When we have these reunions, it is a reunion of family. It's not just a conference."

Buck has been an employee of franchisee Harlan Hanson of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Rochester (Minnesota) for more than a decade. Last year, she demonstrated her leadership and her fellowship by taking care of the business after Hanson was sidelined due to medical issues. She even took Hanson into her home to oversee his recovery for a few days.

'Refinement for Success'

The theme of the Reunion was "Refinement for Success" - a motto that reflects DreamMaker's spirit of continual improvement while also acknowledging the huge strides and incredible momentum of the brand. From 2011 to 2015, average franchisee sales increased 68%. During that time, DreamMaker launched new coaching initiatives, as well as a proprietary software platform that helps remodelers create detailed project estimates, manage scheduling and production, track employee incentives and maintain strong margins.

Team Specialist of the Year award winner, Robyn Stephens of Springfield, Illinois, exemplifies the company's commitment to refinement. Her employer, DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Springfield, Illinois, was the first to fully implement the new software two years ago. Since then, she has made recommendations that have helped strengthen the software - input that has benefited every franchisee in the DreamMaker system.

Other awards

Springfield employees won two more awards: Kevin King was named Salesperson of the Year, and Eric Aldrich was named Production Manager of the Year.

The Enhancing Lives. Improving Homes® Award, which recognizes incredible customer satisfaction and integrity, went to J.D. and Cheryl Norris of DreamMaker of Aiken, South Carolina. Their employee, Seth Thomas, was named Lead Carpenter of the Year for his excellence as a craftsman and for his commitment to always living DreamMaker's Code of Values.
