Papa John's Announces Fundraiser And Player Appearance For The 15 To 1: Jermaine Kearse Foundation

SEATTLE - Oct. 3, 2016 // PRNewswire // - Papa John's franchisees throughout Western Washington state are hosting a fundraiser for the 15 to 1: Jermaine Kearse Foundation as a part of their ongoing partnership to raise money for the foundation. StartingOctober 8 through October 10, customers can order pizza online and in stores with promo code JK20 and 20% of the purchase price will be donated to the 15 to 1: Jermaine Kearse Foundation.

To support the event, wide-receiver of the Seattle Seahawks' Jermaine Kearse will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans at two Papa John's locations, during the Seahawks' bye-week. On Sunday, October 9th, Kearse will be at the Lakewood Papa John's at 8813 Edgewater Drive SW from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, followed by the Mill Creek Papa John's location at 15704 Mill Creek Blvd from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Fans from the community are welcome to stop by, meet Kearse, and order a fresh Papa John's Pizza.
Kearse and his foundation focus on raising funds to provide opportunities for youth in military families. Kids in these communities may not normally be able to participate in education and travel learning experiences, outdoor and sport camps, and internships or career shadowing opportunities. "I am honored to work with Papa John's to expand our partnership and meet some fans for a good cause," states Kearse of the partnership.

Papa John's Western Washington franchisees are beginning their second year as a founding corporate sponsor of the 15 to 1: Jermaine Kearse Foundation. Thus far, over $100,000 has been donated by Papa John's as a part of the partnership. Kearse started the foundation to support and inspire youth in military families to work hard, persevere and believe in order to overcome adversity and find success through positive choices, experiences and opportunity.

As part of the partnership, Papa John's has a special online-only Jermaine Kearse Pizza offer, including a Large 2-Topping Pizza and a Double Chocolate Chip Cookie for $15.21 with $1.21 of every order being donated to the 15 to 1: Jermaine Kearse Foundation. In addition, Papa John's donates $500 for each catch made by, and $1,500 for each touchdown scored by Kearse during the Seattle Seahawks' season. Papa John's has pledged to donate a minimum of $50,000 to the Jermaine Kearse foundation.
