Tappin, along with create-your-own fast-casual pizza restaurant Uncle Maddio's, announce a three-unit deal to expand the top pizza franchise across Denver. The deal will bring the total Uncle Maddio’s Denver-area locations to five. Currently, Uncle Maddio’s operates two restaurants in Aurora and Westminster, CO, owned by Uncle Maddio’s franchisee James Smethie. Tappin’s first restaurant will open in Castle Rock at 3990 Limelight Ave. in the Hilltop Commons Center at the corner of Meadows Parkway and Limelight Ave.
Tappin has a long history in the restaurant industry. He has spent his career working for iconic restaurant brands McDonald’s and Einstein Bagels. At McDonald's, Tappin was responsible for the launch of the 'i'm loving it' campaign in the USA and served as Chief of Staff to the McDonald’s President and COO. He also was Chief Marketing Officer of Einstein Bagels. He returns to Denver to bring his extensive experience and best practices to the local restaurant scene.

Uncle Maddio’s is a next generation pizza restaurant that lets guests build their own pizza exactly how they want it and cooked in fast baked ovens and served to their tables in about six minutes. Guests choose from one of three crusts, including a delicious gluten-free option, and 48 toppings, including six sauces, 27 vegetables and 15 meats. Everything is fresh, from the pizza dough and sauce that’s made in-store each day to the wide variety of veggies.
