Partners Up With 124-Year-Old Moving Company

This marks The Junkluggers’ first foray into Maryland. Von Paris will service Harford County, MD; Anne Arundel County, MD; Baltimore County, MD; Howard County, MD; Baltimore City, MD and also has the ability to service other surrounding counties. The Junkluggers plan to add one to two additional locations throughout the state in the next few years.

John Von Paris is the president and CEO of Von Paris Moving & Storage, a family-owned and operated company founded in 1892. He has served previously as chairman of the Better Business Bureau of Greater Maryland and past member of the Governor's Workforce Investment Board, where he co-chaired the Transportation Initiative and presently serves as a Board member of the Maryland Transportation Authority Board.

The Junkluggers provides an environmentally-friendly alternative, saving millions of pounds of junk from landfills each year by donating on average 70% of the items they remove to local charities and recycling centers. When an item is donated on a customer’s behalf, Junkluggers will provide a tax-deductible receipt within 14 business days.

The Junkluggers are able to provide a free estimate upon arrival, with pricing based on the amount of volume items will take up in the truck, with all labor, disposal fees and recycling/donation efforts included in the simple and straight forward pricing structure. If the items take up less room in the truck than initially estimated, the customer will be charged accordingly. Junkluggers specializes in the greener side of disposal and also returns tax deductible donation receipts to customers for any items donated on their behalf.
