Local Business Owners Take Home Multiple Awards

October 13, 2017 // Franchising.com // SPOKANE, Wash. - Dan, Jill and Shaylin King, owners of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Eastern Washington, a Neighborly company, earned the Mr. Rooter Plumbing, Excellence in Leadership Award and Top Gun honors at the 2017 Dwyer Group International Conference, held Sept. 24 – 27, in Orlando, Florida.

The Excellence in Leadership Award is presented to the business owner or owners who are a model business and are willing to positively impact others in a proactive manner. The Top Gun award goes to business owners who achieve operational benchmarks. The Top Gun recipients represent the top 10 percent of Mr. Rooter Plumbing, a Neighborly company, franchise owners across North America.

The Top Gun designation was inspired by the 1980’s movie of the same moniker. Don Dwyer, the late founder of Mr. Rooter Plumbing, a Neighborly company, Dwyer Group, initiated the concept. He felt the top franchise owners went the extra mile and did what it took to be exemplary.

Like the Navy Top Gun school, which was established to reinvigorate basic combat excellence, the Top Gun award goes to franchisees who meet a variety of operational metrics and demonstrate a spirit of teamwork.

The Dwyer Group International Conference is a business event designed to bring the many concepts of the Dwyer Group together annually for updates, inspirational speakers, informative business-specific classes and, most importantly, fellowship amongst the thousands of gifted and dedicated individuals that own and operate their own franchise.
