Let’s Get Physical: Conrad Dublin Introduces Ireland’s First Dedicated Hotel Staff Gym

April 25, 2019 // Franchising.com // DUBLIN - It’s common knowledge that recruitment in the Irish hospitality industry is challenging. Sometimes hiring people is easy, but keeping them is another issue. Research shows that fitness in the workplace can reduce absenteeism, give greater job satisfaction, reduce stress, cut health care costs, increase brain power, encourage team building and help motivate and retain employees.

With this in mind, Conrad Dublin introduced a staff-only fully equipped on-site gym, available from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily with room to adjust if required. The facility includes a free weights area, cardio equipment, multipurpose pulley rack, Olympic power cage with Olympic bar and disks, a rubber floor, automatic A/C, a cold-water dispenser, towels and cleaning wipes. Presently, Conrad Dublin is considering hosting a series of fitness classes based on staff requests and interest.

“It is important to invest in your staff and develop their interests with the hope of increasing their well-being in the workplace.
