Ori'Zaba's Scratch Mexican Grill Announces Quarterly Charitable Donation and 2nd Quarter Charity Selection to Support U.S. Military Members Year-Round

Ori'Zaba's announces their continued commitment to a year long Veteran-focused philanthropic campaign by selecting Vegas Veterans Hockey Foundation for its second-quarter veteran beneficiary organization.

LAS VEGAS, NV, June 09, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ - Ori'Zaba's, one of Las Vegas' most popular scratch Mexican food franchises, announces their continued commitment to a year long Veteran-focused philanthropic campaign by selecting Vegas Veterans Hockey Foundation for its second-quarter veteran beneficiary organization.

As a veteran-owned business, Ori'Zaba's is committed to supporting the men and women who protect our country. In addition to offering a 10% discount to veterans every day, Ori'Zaba's corporate selects a charity each quarter that benefits veteran-related causes in order to give back and show appreciation for the military community.

"As a veteran-owned business, we felt a once-a-year acknowledgment didn't suffice. We wanted to embed gratitude for our military into our company culture, continuously recognizing our military members for their service," said Ori'Zaba's President Jen Howell.

"Whether active, reserved, or retired, all U.S. Military members mean the world to us. Starting in July, our yearlong charity, That Others May Live Foundation, will receive a percentage of our annual sales to support their life-changing programs. We are honored to make a small difference for such a valuable organization."

Vegas Veterans Hockey Foundation, is a local non-profit organization that serves to bring military veterans and their families together around the game of hockey. Ori'Zaba's selected them for a quarterly charitable donation because of the difference they are making in our community.

"Hockey is a sport that emphasizes teamwork and forming tight bonds with fellow players on the ice, in the locker room and away from the arena. The culture around the game of hockey creates the same type of brother/sisterhood environment that we had and felt serving with each other. Now, we still get to experience those same emotions and positive feelings because of the Foundation and its Mission to Support Veterans, their families and the Vegas community through the game of hockey," said Jason Greigo, USAF Retired, Founder & CEO of the Vegas Veterans Hockey Foundation.

Supporting Military causes is near and dear to Ori'Zaba's co-founder, Kori McClurg, who served in the U.S. Air Force as an analyst and flight test engineer. While stationed at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB) and Nellis AFB, Kori specialized in electronic warfare testing, specifically radio frequency and infrared aircraft defensive countermeasures.

In addition to the 10% discount on every in-store order and the charity donation, Veterans also receive a free meal annually on Veterans Day with a military ID.

"We see many veterans daily at Ori'Zaba's and we are happy we can now show our gratitude every time we serve them," Howell said.

Since 2001, the Mexican food franchise has specialized in fresh, scratch-made Mexican meals. Their commitment to preparing ingredients fresh every day and never using freezers has cultivated a dedicated fan base who rely on Ori'Zaba's for healthy, hearty, and authentic meals.
