Streetsville grand opening to include live performances and more

April 26, 2023 // Franchising.com // MISSISSAUGA, ON. – School of Rock announces the grand opening of a school in Mississauga, ON. The event will take place at 49 Queen Street S Unit 4/5 Mississauga, Ontario L5M 1K5, from 1 pm - 4 pm ET on Saturday, April 29. Along with a ceremonial guitar smashing (School of Rock’s version of a ribbon-cutting), the event will offer performances by the School of Rock Markham house band.

School of Rock Streetsville is owned by Paula Carvalho. Paula’s lifelong dream of launching her own business has become a reality with the opening of School of Rock Streetsville. Inspired by the success of her own children's participation in School of Rock, Paula was motivated to bring music education to more people. Even though Paula is not a musician herself, she finds that music can be therapeutic for her in a variety of ways

“It is a true honor for me to bring the joy of music education to more people and provide a nurturing space for aspiring musicians to explore their passion,” said Paula. “I believe that through the power of music, we can unlock creativity, build confidence, and inspire a lifelong love of learning in our students."

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons, and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz, and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.
