Fitness Franchise Expands Reach to More People in Community

August 15, 2023 // Franchising.com // CHINO HILLS, Calif. - The Camp Transformation Center (TCTC) is thrilled to announce its second location in Modesto, California, The Camp Modesto East.

Franchise partner Erica Cruz discovered The Camp and its community as a member before the pandemic. “I was a stay-at-home mom of two small children when I joined in early 2020, then COVID hit, and we had to shelter in place,” she explains. “Even though we could not go to the gym, I was so impressed how the staff at The Camp constantly reached out to all members, making sure we did our workouts and kept us accountable.”

It was that sense of community that helped Erica realize she wanted to do more than just be a member. “I’ve always loved fitness and have played sports my whole life, so this seemed like a good fit for me,” Erica said. After a short time as a trainer, Erica became a franchise partner and acquired The Camp Modesto West.

Erica says she thoroughly enjoys helping members hit their goals and transform their lives. Given the size of Modesto, she decided the other side of town needed a location, too, and launched efforts to open The Camp Modesto East.

“Having gone from a member to a trainer and then to an owner, Erica Cruz understands our mission perfectly,” said TCTC Co-founder Alejandra Font. “We are not just a gym or a diet place. We are a community of like-minded people who are actively working to be as healthy as they can be. We couldn’t be happier that Erica has expanded The Camp’s reach to help more people in Modesto.”
