America’s #1 Double Drive-Thru Brand Brings Bold Flavors and Affordable Convenience to California

September 22, 2023 // Franchising.com // SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Start your engines, California, Checkers and Rally’s is on the fast lane to San Bernardino.

Checkers and Rally’s, the double drive-thru burger and fries’ brand, announced its new restaurant opening in San Bernardino. Conveniently situated at 170 E. 40 Street, the location will be owned and operated by Wahid Karas, bringing a mouthwatering dining experience to the local community.

Wahid Karas is a restaurant industry veteran who has over 30 years of experience in the food industry owning various franchises like Popeyes, Broken Yolk Cafe, and others. His latest endeavor is Checkers and Rally’s and currently owns eight locations, with half located in California and the other half in Las Vegas. San Bernardino will be Wahid’s ninth location and he also plans to open another location in Las Vegas before the end of the year.

As an active participant in giving back to his local community and churches, Wahid takes pride in gathering with different organizations to promote philanthropy projects around the community. Through his business endeavors, he looks forward to bringing these opportunities to give back through Checkers and Rally’s.

The latest San Bernardino restaurant highlights the continued growth of the brand, with an updated prototype look and simplified operating model to better service the community.
