Scooter’s Coffee Expands into New Jersey

Lifelong New Jersey Residents to Open Seven Franchises in the Garden State

September 22, 2023 // Franchising.com // OMAHA, Neb. - Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise, continues its expansion throughout the United States by opening seven (7) new locations in Monmouth County, New Jersey. These franchises will be the first Scooter’s Coffee locations not only in New Jersey but in the Northeastern U.S., allowing the company to bring its world-class drive-thru coffee to more caffeine-lovers.  

The expansion is the result of a franchise agreement signed by Bill Thomas and his wife, Nicole Toscanini-Thomas. Recently retired from his career as a consultant, Bill began thinking about what was next for him. He had investigated franchising opportunities in the past but found that the shoe didn’t quite fit. When he discovered Scooter’s, Bill was intrigued by the company’s focus on high-quality drinks, delivered through a unique drive-thru kiosk, “It’s a new and exciting concept that isn’t something we have in this area,” he said.

Originally, Scooter’s Coffee offered them territories in Florida, but when New Jersey became available, Bill and Nicole knew it was the right move for them. Bill has lived in Monmouth County for more than 40 years and Nicole has lived here her entire life. “It’s an honor to bring the first Scooter’s Coffee franchise to our home state. We are looking forward to building a family business where we can offer delicious products to our neighbors and exciting career opportunities to the people in our community”, Bill said.

Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, specializes in artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries, and features its signature drink, the Caramelicious®. Bill and Nicole are actively looking for the first of seven planned locations with the help of Curtis Nassau, Executive Vice President with RIPCO Real Estate. “With +650 existing locations, we are very excited about rolling out Scotter’s in NJ, we believe there will be numerous site opportunities for them, especially since their building is under 700 square feet.” Curtis said.
