School of Rock Lakewood Ranch is Ready to Rock N’ Roll

October 30, 2023 // Franchising.com // BRADENTON, Fla. - School of Rock is celebrating the opening of its school in Bradenton, Florida at 8741 State Road 70.

School of Rock Lakewood Ranch is owned by Gary Falcon, an accomplished music manager with 30 years of experience in the music industry. His journey in music began with Falcon-Goodman Management in Nashville, Tenn., where he served as president for 14 years. His client roster featured prominent artists like Travis Tritt, Michael Peterson and the renowned writing team of Gary Barker and Frank Myers known for hits like 'I Swear' and 'I Cross My Heart.'

His influence also extends to the film and TV industry, securing roles for his artists in productions such as 'Cowboy Way' and 'Blues Brothers 2000,' with appearances on late-night television shows like Johnny Carson and David Letterman. Falcon decided to open a School of Rock location as a way to leverage he and his wife Kelley's entertainment industry experience to mentor and inspire kids by fostering an early passion for music.

"Our goal is more than just teaching notes and chords. It’s about passing on our musical legacy to the next generation in our community," Falcon said. "Students don’t want to just learn guitar chords. They want to learn to play songs they know and love. School of Rock’s ‘Song First’ approach taps into that passion, introducing them to the music they love, and, from there, diving into the theory and concept behind it."

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“There is a lot of heart and soul that goes into opening a School of Rock location,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “Gary is someone who embodies this spirit. His vast experience in the music industry, both as a manager and music manager, showcases his passion for music. I look forward to watching his students thrive through music education and live performances.”
