Cilantro Taco Grill to Open Three Corporate Stores in the Chicago Area

December 06, 2023 // Franchising.com // Chicago, IL - Cilantro Taco Grill has announced it is set to open three more locations in the Chicagoland area, starting in April 2024.

As demand for Cilantro Taco Grill’s authentic Jaliscan flavors continues to rise across Chicagoland, the new locations will open in Bensenville, Bloomingdale, and Des Plaines. These corporate restaurants will be overseen by the founder of Cilantro Taco Grill himself, Temoc Morfin, and the brand’s C.O.O., Gerardo Morfin, bringing the same quality and neighborhood feel to each new location.

Circle Ave Location: 201 E Lake St, Bloomingdale, IL 60108 (Projected to open April 2024)
Bensenville Location: 1301 W Irving Park Rd, Bensenville, IL 60106 (Projected to open May 2024)
Des Plaines Location: 3001 Mannheim Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60028 (Projected to open June 2024)

Cilantro Taco Grill was founded in 2013 by Temoc Morfin, who was inspired to bring his culture’s flavors and recipes to the masses by his father, ‘Don Javi’ Morfin. The brand has been thriving since the first location opened in 2013. The family-owned franchise has created a new category in Mexican food: The authentic flavors of a Jaliscan taqueria and the scalability of Chipotle, all under the same roof.

“We started Cilantro Taco Grill here in Chicago with one location and a dream to bring fresh, high-quality food to our community. There is love for our brand in Chicago,” said Morfin.

Cilantro Taco Grill recently launch its franchise opportunity, with the support of Armando Christian Perez (Pitbull) and Fransmart.
