Zaxby's Expands Its Footprint in the Augusta Metropolitan Area

December 14, 2023 // Franchising.com // ATHENS, Ga. - Zaxby's® is opening its newest location in Grovetown at 5002 Steiner Way. The new Zaxby's, owned and operated by SSR Augusta, LLC, will open for both drive-thru and dine-in on Monday, Dec. 18.

Since 2019, we've been part of the Augusta community, and this marks our first expansion in the region,” said Jennifer Cobb, market operations director of SSR Augusta, LLC. “We are delighted to welcome new guests, foster a positive work environment, and offer growth opportunities to our dedicated team. Our commitment extends beyond the restaurant as we forge partnerships with the Girls Scouts of America, local churches, and welfare groups, to demonstrate our active engagement and support of the Grovetown community."

The restaurant will feature Zaxby's classic white farmhouse-style design with a dining room gauged to seat up to 56 guests. Equipped with a double drive-thru layout, complete with Zaxby's new digital menu boards and a drive-thru door, the new restaurant aims to streamline the payment and pickup process to serve guests more efficiently.

Zaxby's serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces. The menu features the wildly popular Fried Chicken Philly limited-time offer, Zaxby's fan-favorite Fried Pickles and its most recently added LTO–Chicken Parm Loaded Fries. The new menu item starts with Zaxby’s crispy, crinkle-cut fries, topped with its signature hand-breaded chicken and parmesan cheese. The dish is then drizzled with garlic aioli and marinara sauce to give it a rich and savory flavor. The snackable delicacy is still available at participating locations until Jan. 7, 2024.

The new Zaxby's restaurant, owned by seasoned licensees Tom Scott, Jennifer Cobb, Steven Stembridge, Scott Roberts, and Ashlea Lane of SSR Augusta, LLC, is the franchisee’s eighth location in the Augusta area. The new location offers up to 50 new employment opportunities to the Grovetown community.
