SYNERGY HomeCare Announces First Idaho-Based Location

January 19, 2024 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. - SYNERGY HomeCare has announced its first location in Southeast Idaho, SYNERGY HomeCare of Idaho Falls.

The company is owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo, Emmanuel and Natasha Ohene Opare. Emmanuel is very supportive of Natasha and comes from a background in engineering, while Natasha is a registered nurse with experience serving a wide range of clients.

Headquartered at 330 Shoupe Avenue, Suite 204 in Idaho Falls, ID., the company assists residents of Bonneville, Bingham, Jefferson, and Madison counties with a wide variety of non-medical care options. The Ohene Opares and their team of caregiving professionals provide anywhere between 30 minutes to 24 hours a day in-home care to individuals and families, including companion care, homemaking support, personal care, transportation assistance, and respite care, just to name a few.

The couple recognized a growing need in their community for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers. U.S. Census statistics show that 10,000 Baby Boomers are turning 65 every day and that by 2030, there will be more than 70 million people over the age of 65. According to the AARP, over 90% of this demographic reports they want to remain in their own home for as long as possible. The Idaho Falls region is also home to roughly 25,000 adults living with disabilities who could benefit from SYNERGY HomeCare’s Adult Disability Care program.

Natasha has been a professional caregiver for her entire adult life, working as a registered nurse in pediatrics and geriatrics, as well as post-partum care. Her background has provided her with hands-on experience in caring for all and found her perfect fit with home care.

“Serving means more than just completing the tasks on a list of chores,” said Emmanuel.

“Serving means to listen, understand and connect with the people who need help. We train our caregivers to keep their eyes peeled for these spoken or unwritten opportunities to do something special,” said Natasha. “Our personal and professional experiences have provided us with the emotional capability to do this for our community, and that is not an opportunity we’d ever pass up.”

The Idaho Falls Community and surrounding areas are also home to 11,000 military veterans. Many of them could benefit from the strong local support system that the Ohene Opares strive to implement, including education and resources about their VA benefits, and more. Their team of caregivers can offer support by providing assistance with tasks that include cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping, or going for walks. Their team will also provide personal care such as help with daily hygiene and grooming needs for our clients.

“We understand the day-to-day demands of raising a family, as well as caring for an older loved one,” said Natasha. “There simply aren’t enough hours in the day to handle it all by yourself. We want families to know they don’t have to face these challenges alone. We are committed to providing our community peace of mind knowing their loved ones are receiving an unmatched level of care from people who are truly passionate about what we get to do.”
