Couple Signs Agreement With National Coffee Brand

The expansion into the area west of Charlotte, North Carolina, is a result of a franchise agreement signed by Rob and Brene Hegler of nearby Clover, South Carolina. “We’d been talking about starting a business together for a while now,” said Rob. “Brene tried Scooter’s Coffee on a visit with her sister in Illinois. “Brene’s a big coffee drinker and fell in love with Scooter’s Coffee — said we should open one.” The couple met with some local franchisees and saw what a great opportunity it was. “Scooter’s Coffee is really growing fast in the Carolinas, and I agreed with my wife that it would be the perfect business for us.”

Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, and baked-from-scratch pastries and features its signature beverage, the Caramelicious®. According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 63% of Americans drank coffee in the past day — more than any other beverage, including water.
