Long-time Richmond resident to open state’s 1st Scooter’s Coffee franchise

Ryan Kim, a 20-year resident of Richmond, has signed a franchise agreement to open a Scooter’s Coffee in Short Pump, a suburb northeast of Virginia’s capital. The owner of a beauty supply store, Kim was looking for other opportunities when he discovered Scooter’s Coffee. “I especially loved the company’s core values of Integrity, Humility, Loyalty, and Courage as well as the way they do business,” said Kim. “When I saw how the management interacts with franchisees, I knew they had what it takes to be successful.”

Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries and features its signature beverage, the Caramelicious®️. According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 63% of Americans drank coffee in the past day — more than any other beverage including water.
