SYNERGY Homecare Expands Services to Raleigh’s Southwest Suburbs

March 14, 2024 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. – SYNERGY HomeCare has announced its newest company in the suburbs of Raleigh, North Carolina, SYNERGY HomeCare of Holly Springs.

The brand is already a familiar face in the local homecare industry, with two other offices located nearby in Cary and North Raleigh. The newest Holly Springs-based company will be led by Tsion Endalkachew, an East Carolina University nursing graduate who has spent the past twenty years working in hospital settings.

Headquartered at 4928 Linksland Drive, Suite 100 in Holly Springs, roughly 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh, the company assists residents living in the Holly Springs suburb as well as the nearby communities of Angier, Apex, Cary, Fuquay Varina, Moncure, New Hill, and Willow Springs. The company provides a wide variety of non-medical care options, from companion care to personal care and respite care.

After spending over two decades working in medical settings, Tsion recognized a growing need for these services in her community, particularly among Baby Boomers. North Carolina’s Office of State Budget and Management found that the state’s older population is expected to almost double by 2040, growing from 1.8 million people over the age of 65 to 2.7 million. According to the AARP, over 75% of this demographic reports they want to remain in their own home for as long as possible. Today, one in every six North Carolinians already falls into this age bracket.

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000, Tsion has provided care for the people of her community as a registered nurse, a communicable disease specialist, and an infection prevention practitioner. She’s worked in some of the busiest environments in the healthcare industry while being able to maintain a level head and ensure her patients receive the proper treatment and, more importantly, the proper compassion.

Although Tsion took great pride in her previous role, personal circumstances eventually pushed her toward the homecare industry. In recent years, Tsion was tasked with being her husband’s primary caregiver as he battled cancer. This experience shifted Tsion’s focus from in-facility medical care to community-facing in-home care. As someone who could’ve greatly benefitted from these services in her own time of need, Tsion vows to be a beacon of compassion and empathy for any other local family facing their own hardships.

“My favorite role of all time is being a caregiver, whether that’s to my two children or anyone else in need,” said Tsion. “My professional experience always assured me that I knew how to care for others, but it was my personal experience that told me I was meant to care for others. I understand the fear of uncertainty and the stress that comes with facing potentially life-changing challenges and want to serve as a trusted resource for families in the area.”

Many of Holly Springs’ older residents rely on caregivers for assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping, or going for walks. Some even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing, or using the toilet. Tsion and her team of caregiving professionals will help fill this void and ensure that the surrounding communities can age as comfortably as possible in the comfort of their own homes.

“SYNERGY HomeCare offers the perfect blend of flexibility and reliability that our community needs,” said Tsion. “Whether people need around-the-clock care or just some help for a few hours per week, we’re more than happy to help out in any way we can. With no hourly minimum restrictions, we’re proud to always be available for our friends, family, and loved ones.”
